Oh em gee! I am back from a very EPIC vacation. Not sure if you heard about this crazy "glitch" aka miracle that happened on Christmas Day. If not, read here, basically on Christmas morning Etihad airlines released very cheap flights (My flight RT was $156.80 /ticket before tax, and $276 with tax and trip protection) from New York (JFK) to Abu Dhabi. Traveling to Abu Dhabi meant that I was literally an hour away from a location on my travel bucket list, Dubai. Ayyyy! Before we get into the details of the trip lets talk about the Beauty Essentials I brought with me!

I'm obsessed with Mac Studio Fix Fluid (NCS 45) because it looks natural on the skin, perfect for warm weather, contains SPF, it's not heavy, and it's long lasting.

MAC Oil Control Lotion, need I say more? Great for warm climates and prevents me from looking like a grease ball in hot weather.

MAC Refined Zone, this product also helps to control the oil in your skin. It helps to create a nice smooth surface so that you can apply your makeup on evenly. It also helps your makeup to last all day.

Maybelline Eye Studio Master Graphic was pretty risky for me to bring for the first time on vacation without never using it. I literally picked this up the day before my trip and it was the only eye liner I had. I wasn't disappointed. It was a bit tricky at first but I got the hang of it. This helped me to create a dark detailed cat eye.

St Ives Apricot Scrub is not only CHEAP but it's a great exfoliant! Sometimes when you fly on an airplane or are vacationing in a different environment the climate change can really mess up your skin. I always bring an exfoliating cleanser with me on vacation to really clean it well.

Vaseline - Great for keeping the lips moisturized!

Kiehl's Avocado Eye Cream- So creamy and filled with Avocado Oil, this product gently moisturizes my eye area. I am obsessed with my undereyes because I get very little sleep which could make them dark sometimes. I fight off puffiness and dark under eyes with this product.

Johnson's Hand & Face Wipes - Here is another very affordable item. This was clutch on my trip! I had a 12 and then a 14 hour flight. When I felt absolutely gross I wiped my face with these. Also, we toured Abu Dhabi during the day and caught a late flight that night. When I got to the airport I washed my face and used these to remove my makeup so I could go night night on the airplane ride home.

Blueberry Bliss Curl Control Paste- I pretty much wore my hair the same way the entire time because I liked the style and it was super easy to maintain. Since the top of my hair was slicked back into a bun I used this pomade to lay it down. Boy is this stuff good! Not only does it smell nice but it doesn't make my hair hard (like Eco Style gel does). It's formulated with organic blueberry extract, argan oil (proven to encourage hair growth) mango and shea butter, argan oil. This also really gave my hair a great sheen.

H20- Water! Did you know that if you drink about 8 cups of water a day your hair will get stronger. stronger and grow faster? Also, water is your hairs best friend. Our hair constantly needs moisture and water is one of the best ways to quench its thirst. People attribute dryness to water but it might be your products that are causing your hair to be really dry.

The Donut - I got my donut at H&M! If you can make a perfectly round bun without a donut, hats off to you. I can't and so to make sure my bun is nice and round and even I use a donut to shape it. These donuts are super affordable and easy to use.

Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner- Another really affordable product! I transferred this to a travel size container. It was perfect when my hair required a quick refresher for my curls.

  1. Great list! With a 15 hour flight you need lots of hydration. I'm glad you mentioned water.
FYI: You have skincare twice. I think the second one should be hair care?
