AZTEC SECRET INDIAN HEALING CLAY

Wednesday, June 11, 2014
Back in December I heard about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay dubbed "the worlds most powerful facial." I was VERY apprehensive about trying a product that advertises that you can feel your face pulsate. After reading loads and loads of rave reviews from other bloggers, friends, youtubers, instagramers, I decided to give this product a whirl. Why spend $180 bucks on a Bliss Spa facial when you can give yourself one for less than $10 dollars.

What's so great about the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay:
It's no big secret that this mask works which is why it's so popular. According to the website, "Aztec Secret is volcanic Ash from when the Earth was formed. It is the foam residue left as the planet cooled The foam residue formed a pure clay vein layered between white sand, near one of the lowest parts of planet Earth.

When a facial or clay poultice is applied to the skin it forms a negative charge. Poisons and toxins stored in the epidermis have a positive charge - Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay lifts the pimple and blackheads into the clay bed to cause accelerated healing and nourishment to the skin with over 50 minerals." Sounds intense right? Basically this stuff does an excellent job at deep cleaning your skin. If you have acne problems or problem skin more than likely you will continue to experience issues in the beginning stages of using this product. It must bring everything to the surface in order to clean it all out. Eventually your skin will clear up and improve over time but definitely not right away. The more you use it the better your skin will become. Some people said that after using this product they had red marks that eventually faded within an hour or so but I didn't experience any redness when I tried it. Yes, your face will pulsate and it's freaky! At first I was okay with it but after 10 minutes I started to feel nervous and I desperately wanted to get it off. The mask will make your face stone tight so I suggest sitting still and watching TV for a few. I applied my mask and left it on for 15 minutes and then removed it by applying a warm face cloth to my face. Be careful when removing the mask and washing it off in your sink, its been known to clog up pipes.

I'm not smiling because my face feels like concrete, not because I'm not happy : )

How To Use It:
Mix the Aztec Secert Indian Healing Clay with equal parts of apple cider vinegar in a non metal bowl. Stir the mixture until it is a smooth paste. Apply a desired layer of clay to the face or other areas and let it dry. I personally like to leave mine on for 15-20 minutes. You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation which means you are experiencing a deep pore cleansing! Use a wet wash cloth to remove gently from your skin and you are done!

Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay:
Pros:
- Helps repair the skin due to acne scars
- Reduces acne/pimples/blemishes
-World's most powerful facial
-Deep pore cleaning
-100% natural calcium bentonite clay
- Does not contain: Additives, fragrances, animal products
- Contains a lot of product so you should be able to use it for a long time

Cons:
- Drying
- Causes redness
- Messy clean up - can clog up your pipes

Final thoughts: This product is great and I highly recommend it. It has done an excellent job at reducing the amount of oil in my skin in the Summer time and I've had zero breakouts since using it.

  2. This sounds great. Your face is hilarious. Whenever i use masks like these I put it on before I shower, and just rinse it off in there. Where can you purchase this?

    1. I'm not sure I've ever tried a mask that made my face feel this hard lol It was like concrete hahaha. I was like whoa! I purchased it at Whole Foods but most organic stores also sell it. Someone suggested I try Egyptian Magic Cream and apply that on my face after the mask, I may test that out next.
