Wedding Tips:
  • Do pack a snack! A small bag of peanuts, pretzels, raisins, etc. Sometimes weddings can get delayed and you'll begin in the early afternoon and dinner won't be served until the late evening. Carry a small snack in your purse or pocket in case you get sudden hunger pains.
  • Wear comfortable shoes and/or pack a pair of small flats. I typically carry slipper flats in my clutch whenever I'm out an event and wearing heels all day. No matter how comfortable the shoe is eventually you might start to get a little sore and you can easily pop them off and relax.
  • Wear shoe inserts. I suggest trying Foot Petals! This brand is awesome and seriously makes you feel like you are walking on pillows. I place them in sneakers, flats and heels. (click here to see a former review on the product)
  • Bring oil absorbing sheets! I attended an outside wedding and these sheets came in handy to blot off access oil in my t-zone so that I was able to still look fabulous in the evening without packing on more makeup and covering it up with more oil.
  • If you are attending an outside wedding make sure to wear SPF
  • Remember that some powders look different under bright lighting and you'll be in lots of photos. Make sure you don't pack on too much and make sure you blend well. You don't want that white under eye look.
  • Wear water proof mascara! Weddings can sometimes spark your emotional side and if you get moved to shed a tear you want to make sure your mascara isn't running.
  • Carry a few products with you like your lipstick so you can do touch ups later in the evening.
  • Play it safe. Sometimes it's fun to explore and do something different for a special occasion but just remember these photos will last forever (on Facebook). You don't want to end up hating the way you look so go with something you know will look great when you look back at it.

Christina is rocking this dress from Top Shop backwards! The peep hole you see above is actually supposed to be facing the back (see image below). Christina looks really cute rocking it from the front.

The Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer by Stila is an oil-free, high definition, high performance foundation that "stays all day" and delivers a flawless finish. It was recommended to me by a friend Make-Up By Kim Porter when I told her that I was in the market for a new foundation for the Summer.

FYI - I hate wearing foundation in the Summer. Sometimes when it is really hot outside foundation can be a pain and cause you to look oily, sweaty. I try to avoid it but when it comes to attending events, going on a date, special occasions I'd like the option of applying something so I can look fabulous! When I'm not wearing foundation (casual day, grocery store run, lounging in the house) I'll either wear nothing at all or some concealer in problem areas or a tinted moisturizer that is very light in coverage if I'm headed out for a bit.

This foundation I love because it adheres to the skin leaving a smooth surface. It is excellent at providing enough coverage to minimize skin blemishes and imperfections, without leaving your makeup looking heavy or too "cakey."  More importantly it is long lasting and really does what it says "stays all day."

This packaging is great because in addition to the foundation it also contains a creamy, full coverage concealer hidden inside the cap with a mirror on top. I've tried a variety of concealers in the past and this one is the best at hiding puffy eye circles and dark areas! It also does not crease which is an issue I continuously had with the concealers from MAC.The set also provides you with a spatula to apply the product on your skin but I prefer to use my beauty blender sponge for a more natural look.

Overall, I am very happy the way it turned out. I am in the color Dark, 11
