So my beautiful friend Alexis (points down) challenged me to say YES!
(Alexis)
I would have loved to say that my response was "that's not true" but then I let it soak in and they are right. It is true. During the weekday I usually go home straight after work to work out or relax (watch the Bachelor .. don't judge me). I enjoy spending my weekends pretty much also doing nothing, ha. I grew up as an only child so most times I do enjoy just being alone. I like to decorate my apartment, paint, take photos, write .. all things you can do on your own without leaving your apartment. I'm tons of fun right?
My spontaneity is lacking! I often use the excuse "If i knew a couple days ago I may have
gone but i'm not prepared" or " I can't go. I have nothing to wear." ( I have a closet full of clothes, some with tags on it).
So Alexis has given me a challenge. The "Yes Challenge"
Basically it means that I can't say no. When a friend asks me to do something I have to say yes. Tired or not. I must say Yes!
Now there are restrictions to this challenge... obviously if it's someone I don't particularly like or a complete stranger, I can opt out
(at least I think i can) but if it's someone in my circle, I must say YES!
So for the next two weeks I'll be blogging about the different things I've done just because I couldn't say no.
Alexis believes that by going out I'll meet more people, have a lot more fun, and of course have more fab things to blog about.
Wish me luck!
good luck!

I so need to do this. I'm a notorious excuse maker. I never regret going places when I do (even if I'm tired) but I find so many reasons not to. I think this should be my challenge for lent.
ReplyDeleteyayy! Im excited to hear all about your adventures :) Cheers! XO
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best!
ReplyDeleteI recognize myself in that description. maybe I need to follow your friend's advice also!:)
ReplyDeleteIs it more fun to say yes? I don't know.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your "yes challenge"...sometimes I get stuck in a rut and say no a lot - so I can totally understand, but you'll get the hang of saying yes soon enough.

ReplyDeleteHello there! Thanks for visiting my blog - I love yours! First of all, I too watch the Bachelor. Every night. So I'm with you in loserville on that one. Second of all, I think that's a great challenge. A friend of mine actually did that and she says it was amazing. Met lots of great people, had a lot of great night...of course there were bad ones too, but whatever. Anyway, post the outcome, please! -Celine
